Rod is a graduate of Notre Dame University, and when not on the slopes of Shawnee Peak is happiest in Zermatt, Switzerland.

  • CarlisleTuggey: Carlisle is a graduate of Green Mountain Academy and Bates College. When not on the  hill, Carlisle  practices law in Portland.

  • Eric Wallace: Eric's most recent history is as coach of the Freeport, Maine, high school team. Before that Eric grew up in Colorado and cut his teeth as a junior racer  with the Aspen Ski Club.  He progressed through the ranks of western skiing before coming east to race in Eastern Cups and FIS-level events.  After retiring from the race circuit, Eric coached at his almamater, Aspen Ski Club, as well as for the Mt. Hood Meadows Ski Team, predominantly with older athletes.  Eric moved East for work and now has his own salt-water fly fishing guide company.

  • Matthew Whalen:  A high school and USSA racer with quality technical abilities and a long history racing and training with SPRT, Matt is in his second year on the coaching staff. His role is to use his ski technique to provide valuable visual imagery to the J4 and J5 athletes.

  • SCOTT DAVIS: A life-long skier and racer at Shawnee Peak, Scott brings his enthusiasm and knowledge of skiing to the hill every day in his capacity as coach of the development youngsters, those aspiring racers between the ages of 5 and 8 years of age. Scott is a graduate of Maine Maritime Academy and is a merchant marine who comes ashore to ski!

  • ALEX BURNHAM: Alex joins Scott Davis with the "base of the pyramid", the 5 to 8 year-olds who represent the future of SPRT. A long-time racer and sports enthusiast, Alex has the athleticism and youth required to help shape the future of ski racing. He attends the University of Southern Maine where he plays varsity soccer when not studying.

  • KARA KIMBALLKara joins us this year to lend her enthusiasm to the 5 - 8 year olds. She raced and trained with SPRT as a youngster and has a younger sister, Allison, who is still on the team. Kara is a senior at Bates College and a welcome addition to our roster.

  • TARA ERETZIAN:  Tara qualifies as SPRT "adjunct faculty". She is officially the head coach of a burgeoning Edward Little High School, Auburn, Maine, alpine ski team. However, this year her athletes from EL, and SPRT athletes, will train together on select days in an effort to provide synergistic benefits to both camps. A graduate and racer at Plymouth State College, she coached for the Team Summit Ski Team in Colorado before moving back east.
