THIS WAS HOW WE LOOKED IN 2009 - 2010!
Shawnee Peak Race Team
The Shawnee Peak Race Team (SPRT) provides training and
racing opportunities
with professional coaches for alpine skiers of all
levels from ages 6 -18. As a USSA-affiliated program, we
provide competition opportunities and training at the
most elite level of the sport (such as FIS and USSA
events), but also provide opportunities for athletes who
want to pursue a less competitive track (middle school,
high school and "Mountain Dew" events). We continue to
offer quality alpine ski training opportunities in a
traditional family mountain setting. Our 40-day training
calendar typically starts the weekend after
Thanksgiving, and ends in late March, early April. We
also offer a mid-January week-long training camp that
includes gate training during the morning and academic
tutoring in the afternoons. Your alpine racing future
starts with us!

Association Membership
As a USSA-affiliated program, all SPRT racers will need
USSA membership to enter most races during the season.
Additionally, as a Maine-based ski program, our racers
join the Maine Alpine Race Association (MARA). Both of
these can be accessed by visiting the USSA website at
www.USSA.org
(click on the "Become a Member" section). You can also
access more information at
www.skiMARA.org.
